SCU and Saki began on Feb. 8, 2016. We began with one podcast every day during the week, taking off on weekends. Eventually, it became too much for both of us, so we decided to do one three hour shows per week. Eventually, we decided to go to one 90 minute live show every  Tuesday night .  Due to time constraint with The Football Five, we had to move our show's day. My cohost was not happy with this, so our producer and I tried to make it work. After we had made it work, my cohost decided she was done and shut the show down altogether.  I want to thank my producer, our listeners and even my cohost for the last almost five months of the show. I will continue to work on  insidethearena.org , the Arena Football podcast we have planned at Inside the Arena and the Football Five, as well as my other work. I will not be looking to start another podcast. Yet. 

(photo credit: youtube.com) The Minnesota Lynx and Los Angeles Sparks have recorded the two best records in WNBA History - the Lynx are 12-0 and the Sparks are 11-0. Today, those two teams face one another in a battle of the undefeated.  The Lynx lead the league in in scoring, averaging 78.8 points per game, and free throw shooting, making 84.8 percent of their shots from the line. The Sparks lead the league in field goal percentage at 49.8 percent, three-point shooting with 37.9 percent, as well as assists, points allowed and are second in scoring behind their opponent on Tuesday, the Lynx. Both teams have star players, as well. The Lynx have Maya Moore, who is coming off a triple double against rookie Breanna Stewart and the Seattle Storm. The Sparks have Candace Parker, who is averaging 16.5 points and 7.4 rebounds in the 20th WNBA season. Caitlin Murray had her best season as a pitcher for the Carteret High School Ramblers softball team. She had to give herself a pat on the back for the way she played. "I am beyond proud of my self for the season that I had," Murray said, "Going into the season, I wanted to do better than I did last year, which meant I had to put more time into practice to be able to fulfill my goal." Last season, Murray allowed 127 runs and only struck out 52 batters. In 2016, she allowed 116 runs, but reached a milestone of 122 strikeouts. She'll never forget the day she recorded her 100th strikeout. "It was a special day because I had most of my family and friends there to watch me," she said, "but the best part was knowing that on my grandma's first day out of the house after surgery, she came to watch this special moment." They have three great wide receivers in Odell Beckham Jr, Victor Cruz and rookie receiver Sterling Shepard out of Oklahoma.  They of course still have their Hall of Fame quarterback in Eli Manning and their defense has also grown a great deal. They will Jason Pierre Paul back for the entire season after he missed half of last season after losing a finger in a July 4, 2015 fireworks accident.  They also recently signed DE Olivier Vernon, who recently was with the Miami Dolphins. They also got a huge draft pick with Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple with the 10th overall pick. After watching the seven rounds in three days, I have some takeaways from the draft, such as: The Browns did REALLY well in the draft this year: normally, the Browns don't draft such great players. This year, however, was different. It all started when they drafted wide receiver Corey Coleman with the 15th overall pick. Coleman is an excellent receiver and with the right quarterback, he can do well in the NFL. Ricardo Louis is another great receiver that the Browns picked up in the fourth round. The Browns also drafted a great quarterback in Cody Kessler out of USC, With these three running the team, the Browns could make themselves noticed in 2016. Brady was accused of using footballs that were deflated by the smallest of margin in the Patriots 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Last offseason, Brady had been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season, but that was upheld and he played all 16 games. Before then, however, it looked as if backup quarterback Jimmy Garappolo was going to take snaps in the 2015 season. Now, it looks as if he will be doing that to kick off the 2016 NFL season. Still just two points away from their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.     In 2016, things are a lot different for the New England Patriots. They will have their entire team back and healthy. Dion Lewis missed half of last season with a torn ACL. Their other running back, Lagarrette Blount, was gone for the season after suffering a hip injury in Houston. Julian Edleman missed seven games with a broken foot. Rob Gronkowski missed a game with a bruised knee. This season, they're all coming back and healthy. This team is pretty much already destined to win Super Bowl LI in Houston on Feb. 5, 2017.
