Why the Patriots are Destined to Win Super Bowl LI

A season full of injuries. Losing four of their final six games after a 10-0 start. Still just two points away from their second consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

In 2016, things are a lot different for the New England Patriots. They will have their entire team back and healthy. Dion Lewis missed half of last season with a torn ACL. Their other running back, Lagarrette Blount, was gone for the season after suffering a hip injury in Houston. Julian Edleman missed seven games with a broken foot. Rob Gronkowski missed a game with a bruised knee.

This season, they're all coming back and healthy. This team is pretty much already destined to win Super Bowl LI in Houston on Feb. 5, 2017. Not only are all of these star players coming back healthy, but the Patriots still have arguably the best quarterback-head coach duo in NFL history in Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

They've also signed former Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans wide receiver Nate Washington to a one-year deal. He has proven that he could be a great slot receiver for the one year he will spend in Foxboro. Another smart move the Patriots made was releasing Brandon LaFell, who led the team in nothing but dropped passes.

They also traded Chandler Jones to the Arizona Cardinals for guard Johnathon Cooper, a part of the offensive line the Patriots needed after Brady was hit a record 20 times in the AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos knocked the Patriots out last season. Now, there is no one standing in the way of the Patriots and their fifth Lombardi trophy.
