Blue Colts Men's Soccer Comes Back to Beat Bucks in OT
The Blue Colts men's soccer team traveled to take on Bucks County on Sept. 1. The men were still looking for their first win of the season after losing their first game against Bronx.
In the 33rd minute, the Colts got on the board first with an unassisted goal from Collins Aidoo. The score would remain 1-0 at the end of the first period. In the second period, the Bucks would score three goals.
The tying goal came off a penalty kick from Derek Czerniak in the 56th minute. Just 10 minutes later, in the 66th minute, Bucks took the lead when Victor Molina scored on a penalty kick. Czerniak scored his second goal of the game and Bucks led 3-1 in the 77th minute.
The Colts came back furious in the final 13 minutes. In the 82nd minute, Jorge Sanchez scored to close the gap. In the 87th minute, five minutes after Sanchez's goal, Aidoo scored his second goal of the game to send the game into overtime.
In overtime, the game-winning goal for the Colts came from Idrissa Kamara in the 97th minute. The Colts won their first game of the season by a final score of 4-3.
