RGIII Signing Should NOT Affect Browns #2 Pick

Image
(photo credit: sportingnews.com) The Cleveland Browns signed Robert Griffin III, better known as RGIII, on Thursday. He was once a great QB and it was looking like the Washington Redskins had made the right choice with their second overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. But since then, the now "bust" has done much of nothing. If the Browns think that they will use RGIII to lead them to the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 season, they are sadly mistaken. If the Browns want to have any shot at competing with the other 15 teams in the AFC, they will draft North Dakota State University QB Carson Wentz with the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Any other player drafted by the Browns would be ridiculous. Of course,

The Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10 to win Super Bowl 50. Now is the time to look forward to the 2016 NFL season and Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX on Feb. 5, 2017. There are five teams right now that are the favorites to reach and even win Super Bowl LI. (photo credit: nytimes.com) Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have been in contention for the Super Bowl ever since they drafted their quarterback, Russell Wilson in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. They were three points away from an NFC Championship game appearance in 2013, followed by two straight Super Bowl appearances - a win in Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 and then a loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015 in which a Wilson pass to the end zone at the one yard line was intercepted in the final minutes. Last season, the Seahawks overcame a 31-point deficit to the Carolina Panthers - well, they almost did. They lost to the Panthers in the NFC Divisional Round by three po

The Other Side of Caitlyn Murray

A few days ago, I interviewed Carteret High School softball pitcher Caitlyn Murray. However, softball isn’t the only sport that she plays. Murray has also played basketball since the sixth grade. “I started playing basketball in sixth grade because my mom and sister used to play, so I thought I would give it a shot,” Murray said, “I didn’t play that much because it was my first year ever playing and since I was youngest on the team. But every year, I went back and played.” Between softball and basketball, Murray spent some days after school practicing until late at night. “I’m in school from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m, basketball from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and then softball from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m,” she said, “it’s tough sometimes, but as my coach always tells me, it will benefit me in the long run and all this time will be worth it.” Murray said the one thing that she likes about basketball is that it keeps her physically challenged. The one thing she doesn’t like about basketball is

Interview with Carteret High School Varsity Softball Pitcher Caitlyn Murray

Carteret High School varsity softball pitcher Caitlyn Murray is only a sophomore, but she has been playing softball since she was six years old. She played on the Carteret travel and recreational teams. In her first season of playing for the Ramblers, she went 6-15 as a starter. She is looking to turn that around this coming season. “ Last season was tough and a lesson for me as the youngest player and pitcher on the team,” she said, “Improving my pitching was a big deal for me. I practice all year round in a local gym where I practice my hitting, pitching and fielding. While going to a few college camps to get information on how to become a better player. ” While Murray was 6-15 on the mound, she excelled while at-bat. She was also the leading RBI hitter on the team last season, recording 16 of them. She was also second on the team with three HRs. Despite this, she still prefers one position over the other. “ My favorite position when I was younger was pitching. But as
